Meet Sepim
For Sepim, art has never been just a career—it’s been a journey of transformation. A full-time physical painter for over a decade, her transition into digital art began in February 2022 when she entered the NFT space. She started minting her work on platforms like OpenSea, KnownOrigin, Foundation, and Exchange.art, exploring both Ethereum and Solana. But it was an open call that introduced her to the Bitcoin art community, and it changed everything. “I received so much love from the Bitcoin family,” she recalls. “They care deeply about real art—your story, your style, your technique.” For Sepim, that level of authenticity and appreciation was what she’d been searching for all along. She found her home in Ordinals, a place where originality is respected and the community truly feels like family.
Feelings First
At the heart of Sepim’s work is emotion. Her creations aim to reveal the hidden layers of the unconscious mind, offering viewers an opportunity to better understand themselves. “As someone who loves psychology and philosophy,” she says, “I try to show the complexity of human relationships, personal growth, and self-awareness.” Her art is a mirror, both for herself and for others—a visual journal of evolving consciousness. Each piece is an invitation to reflect, to feel, and to grow.
Something Precious
For Sepim, the permanence of Bitcoin inscriptions raises the stakes in the best way. “When you understand your art will remain forever on Bitcoin, you do your best to create something precious,” she says. Beyond the technology, it’s the Bitcoin community’s discernment and support that fuel her motivation. “Collectors and the Bitcoin team—especially platforms like Gamma—are incredibly supportive. That energy allows you to focus on the art itself and continue improving.” To her, Bitcoin isn’t just a blockchain—it’s a force that empowers artists to reach their highest potential.
Princess of Light
Among Sepim’s releases on Bitcoin, Princess of Light holds special meaning. Inspired by a quote from Rumi—“The lamps are different, but the Light is the same”—the piece celebrates the strength and inner radiance of women. “Light can be awareness, rebuilding, spreading love,” she explains. Through symbolism found in the subject’s dress, crown, and pose, the artwork expresses not only beauty but resilience. It’s a tribute to the power within, waiting to shine.
Beautiful Mistakes
Though now immersed in digital work, Sepim’s roots remain in traditional painting, and she still practices both. She embraces digital art for its flexibility—its capacity to explore color palettes and collage techniques—but physical media bring their own lessons. “When you’re painting with ink or markers, you have to go forward,” she explains. “Mistakes happen, and you learn to transform them into something beautiful. I love that challenge.” For her, digital and physical art complement each other, each enhancing creativity in different ways.
Art and Purpose
Entering the NFT space didn’t just evolve Sepim’s artistic practice—it changed her life. “The first thing I learned from the NFT community was the win-win mindset: help and support others,” she says. It was a profound shift. Connecting with people from around the world, receiving encouragement from strangers, and feeling seen as an artist gave her a sense of purpose and belonging she hadn’t known before. “Now I’m an independent, brave, warrior woman who knows her worth and loves herself. My art is my identity, and the NFT community is my real family.”
Disconnect to Connect
Sepim doesn’t cite a single artist or movement as her primary influence. “I’m learning from everyone,” she says. “There are so many great artists in this community.” But she maintains a strong practice to protect her originality: reviewing her own work regularly, disconnecting from social media before creating, and starting each new piece from a place of stillness. “Meditation or breaks help me reset. That’s when the true ideas come.”
The Unknown
Crypto’s breakneck pace can be overwhelming, especially for those unaccustomed to rapid change. At first, Sepim found it challenging. But working in Web3 has pushed her to become more adaptable, flexible, and open to the unknown. “Now I always have more than one plan,” she says. “You have to be ready for new opportunities and willing to grow. It’s made me a stronger person, not just a better artist.”
Sepim’s Voice
While many in the Bitcoin art world focus on long-term projects, Sepim remains devoted to the act of painting itself. “I don’t work on big projects—I just want to keep creating more and more as an artist in Bitcoin,” she says. Her goal is simple: share her work, especially her abstract figurative and cubist styles, and encourage collectors to appreciate the beauty of paintings in the digital age. “There are already so many awesome projects in Bitcoin. I want to add my voice to that world by speaking through art.”
Get Active
To new digital artists entering the Bitcoin space, Sepim’s advice is full of heart: Be patient. Be yourself. Be active in spaces. Don’t be shy. The Bitcoin art community is welcoming—but like any relationship, trust takes time. “They’ll see you’re hardworking and consistent. They’ll get to know you. Just keep going and believe in yourself.”
