Today we're sharing something we're genuinely excited about. Trust Machines is going all-in on Gamma and will take full ownership of Gamma.io. Gamma.io Inc., the independent company that ran the platform, is winding down as a separate entity.
The platform stays up. Collections, wallets, creator pages, marketplaces, all of it keeps running without interruption. If you're a creator with a collection live on Gamma, a collector with assets in your wallet, or a builder integrating with it, nothing about your day-to-day experience changes.
Why Gamma, and why now
From the beginning, Gamma has been the home for Stacks NFTs. The place where collections launch, creators find an audience, and culture gets minted onto Bitcoin. Over the years, it's supported thousands of creators and built one of the most active NFT communities anywhere on Bitcoin.
That role matters more now, not less. Bitcoin on-chain activity keeps accelerating. sBTC is opening new ways for Bitcoin to move and be used natively, and Stacks continues to advance Bitcoin's programmability. The cultural layer, the collectibles, the drops, the creator economies, is a big part of how all that activity actually shows up in the world.
Bringing Gamma in-house is a direct commitment to keep that cultural layer open, well-run, and available to the people who use it. It lets us run the platform with the focus it deserves, while staying within the same team, working on the broader Bitcoin on-chain strategy with Stacks.
What this means for you
Our near-term priority is simple: stability and continuity for the community. The platform is open. Collections remain as is. Support is available. The community that made Gamma worth continuing is the same reason we're committed to its future.
As our plans for Gamma within Trust Machines take shape, we'll share more. For now, the short answers:
- Is Gamma Platform shutting down? No. Trust Machines has taken full ownership and is committed to keeping Gamma running.
- What happens to my NFTs and collections? Nothing changes. Your assets and collections remain intact.
- What's next for Gamma? Stability and continuity for the community in the near term. We're exploring how Gamma fits into a broader Bitcoin on-chain strategy with Stacks, and we'll share more as that develops.
- Where do I go for support? Reach out at support@gamma.io, we’re here.
Thank you for being part of Gamma. The creators, collectors, and builders who have shown up here over the years are exactly why this platform is worth continuing.
We think Gamma's best chapter on Bitcoin is still ahead of us.
