Proof of Work Celebration Collection

NFTs on Stacks are secured by the strongest base layer in crypto: Bitcoin. What makes Bitcoin the best layer for NFTs? Well, behind the strength of Bitcoin’s security is a mechanism known as Proof of Work (PoW), which is exactly what it sounds like — a consensus mechanism that rewards those who have proved they put in the resources, time, and expenditures to help settle transactions and secure the network.
But Proof of Work isn’t just present in crypto. For the last few months, our team at Gamma has been working hard to serve our Stacks community the best tools for creating, exploring, and trading NFTs. As a result of our incredible team’s PoW, our trading volume has doubled in the past few months and our community has exploded with talented artists and collectors.
As an ode to both Proof of Work (PoW) and to you, we’re putting together a community collection based on your own PoW. For brand new members of the Stacks community, we especially encourage you to submit an entry!

How to participate:
- Submit a photo or artwork of your work in progress or a job well done. It can be anything: your garden, some code, a painting, or anything else you’ve worked on.
- On Sept 5th, Labor Day, we’ll airdrop you your “proof of work NFT,” memorializing your job well done. That’s it!
